CELEBRATING NOWROZ
According to popular folklore Kurdish, the Kurdish New Year, the March 21 700 f.Kr, when the Kurdish blacksmith Kawa the Kurdish people are free from the tyrant Zuhak (EZH Dehak).

During this period, thousands of young people have been killed, including seven children in Sierra Kawase. Eventually, the Kurds have used the blacksmith Kawa to lead a rebellion against the evil king Zuhak.
Kawa then led the uprising against Zuhak and 21 March 700 BC the palace was surrounded and defeated Zuhaks Kawa palace guards with the help of the hammer, which had killed two snakes and Zuhak. In connection with the rebellion successful, large fires were lit in the hills and mountains around the country to spread the news of the death Zuhaks and the lost freedom.
Since then it has become a tradition to light huge bonfires every year when it's time to start the New Year (Newroz). Kawa and Zahak Both are important personalities in the Kurdish mythology and appears also in other populations as the Persians and Afghans.
